Loffredo Fresh Produce Co. Inc. operates 5 Warehouse / Distribution centers.
- Des Moines, IA.
- Carter Lake, IA. (Omaha)
- Rock Island, IL. (Quad Cities)
- Kansas City, MO.
- Madison, WI.
All 5 locations are Warehousers and Distributors of Whole Produce and assorted Specialty Items. The Des Moines, Ia. Facility is corporate headquarters. It also is the location of the Food Processing Operations.
GENERAL FOOD SAFETY INFORMATION
All aspects and elements of our food handling activities have been assessed and evaluated for actual and potential hazards and risks to consumers.
HACCP
The Loffredo Fresh Produce Co. Inc. HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) Plan is our governing document for all food handling activity. The HACCP Plan is supported by:
- GMP Program (Good Manufacturing Practices) In compliance with: 21 CFR Part 110
- Employee personal hygiene practices, Facility&Transportation Practices, Pest Control
- SSOP Program (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)
- Master Cleaning Schedule
- Prerequisite Programs (All elements of Food Safety not specifically mentioned in HACCP)
WHOLE PRODUCE & SPECIALTY ITEMS
- Elements included in comprehensive Food Safety Analysis include Suppliers, Receiving, Storage/Rotation, Shipping, and Return Product.
PROCESSING
- Elements included in comprehensive Food Safety Analysis include Suppliers, Receiving, Storage/Rotation, Pre-Production Staging, All process steps, Weigh/Sort, Assembly, Packaging, Metal Detection, Final Box Packaging, Finished Product Storage, Shipping, and Return Product.
DOCUMENTATION AND RECORDKEEPING
A comprehensive documentation program is in place to monitor all food handling activities.

The comprehensive Food Safety Plan is regularly re-evaluated to ensure effectiveness of measures.
