
The Reopening of Our Partners
The beginning of 2020 has challenged our industry possibly more than ever before. The Loffredo team is excited to witness and participate in the reopening of many of our partners. As partners begin to reopen and serve customers we are doing everything we can to keep both our employees and customers safe during this recovery.
Loffredo Fresh Foods has taken the initiative to make internal changes to keep both our employees and customers as safe as possible. Some of the steps taken include but aren’t limited to; separation of department work spaces to keep contact down, increased hand washing and sanitation, masks required for drivers and provided to all employees, and implementation of body temperature checks for employees reporting to work. We are continually updating our policies and daily norms to adhere to all CDC guidelines surrounding COVID-19.
Below are answers to frequently asked questions surrounding the pandemic and Loffredo Fresh Foods:

Q: Is the U.S. food supply safe?
According to FDA.gov, there is no current concern for the safety of food being sold and consumed in the United States. Loffredo is committed to following the food safety and quality guidelines that are currently in place and recommended by the USDA and FDA. We recommend increased personal hygiene within your kitchens and the continued washing of your produce, as was customary in the past.

Q: Are there any food shortages?
Although there were many shortages at local retailers during the initial lockdown, Loffredo Fresh Foods has not experienced any shortages in our supply chains. We are currently shipping at full capacity.

Q: What will I see different from Loffredo?
Your driver will be required to wear a mask, some routes may have adjusted days of service, and minimal changes to our in stock items.
Outside of the initiatives that the Loffredo team has been working on, we want to say how proud we are to have such amazing partners.
